Marilyn J. Podella, 93, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Brookside Care Center.
She was born on October 1, 1932, to the late George and Laura (Glaeser) Nugent in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School.
On April 2, 1955, she married Fred C. Podella Jr. in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1995.
Marilyn worked at JCPenney’s downtown before working as a secretary for Great Lakes Naval Base Hospital for many years.
Marilyn loved traveling to Florida and Arizona, was active with the Moose Lodge, and in her earlier years was active with the Band Boosters, along with her husband.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Becker; her son, Scott (Debbie) Podella; her grandchildren, Michael (Lauren) Becker, Amanda (Ryan) Dreifke, Sarah (Charlie Connor) Podella, and Matthew (Molly) Podella; her great-grandchildren, Carson, Luella, Ronan, and Maeve Becker, Benjamin and Julia Dreifke, and Levi and Jonah Podella.
She was preceded in death by her brothers George, Donald, and William Nugent, and a son-in-law, Paul M. Becker.
Private entombment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
