1962 – 2026
Joseph “Joe” Anthony Matelski III, age 63, of Kenosha, Wisc., passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 10, 2025, following a battle with lung cancer.
Joe was born on October 3, 1962, and raised in Kenosha, Wisc., where he lived all of his life. He married Nancy Bader on February 16, 1985. The couple had two children: Tom and Jackie.
Joe enjoyed golf, cheering on the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, and listening to music. His favorite bands included The Who, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Matelski; his children, Tom Matelski and Jackie (Eric) Sullivan; his sister, Karen Reimer; and his uncle Daniel (Nancy) Matelski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carol (Leuck) Matelski and Joseph Matelski, Jr.; his sister, Lynda Matelski Woodliff; and his brother-in-law, Art Reimer.
The family wishes to thank all of the kind caregivers who helped Joe through his cancer treatment: dear friends Ron and Jackie Anderson, Dr. Montemurro, Dr. Knight, and all the Cancer Center staff at Froedert South, and Alexis at Horizon Hospice.
