Jerry Z. Goff, 89, of Somers, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, March 27, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on December 28, 1936, to the late Wade and Hazel (Shutter) Goff in Tomah. He was educated in the schools of Tomah.
Jerry entered the US Army on October 3, 1955, and was honorably discharged on January 30, 1958.
On January 24, 1959, he married the love of his life, Geraldine Goff. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2019.
Jerry worked as a machinist for American Brass for over 30 years, retiring in 1991.
Jerry volunteered at Richard Bong State Recreation Area and was a member of the Bong Naturalist Association. He was an avid camper and spent many years with his beloved wife, Mrs. Gerry, traveling throughout the United States.
Jerry is most remembered for his devotion to his children, sharp wit, and wisdom that charmed all who met him.
Jerry is survived by his children, Diane (Brad) Thompson of San Diego, CA, Wade (Jackie) Goff of Wadsworth, IL, and Denise Goff of Gurnee, IL, his grandchildren, Zach, Ian, Caleb, and Andrew, and his great-grandchildren Evan, Ryan, Jackson, and Bethany.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter Ann Juline in infancy, four sisters, and three brothers.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry’s final resting place will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
