Jerry L. Meyer, 84, of Twin Lakes, WI., passed away at his home on February 24th, 2026. He was born in Elgin, IL., to his parents Raymond and Alberta (Nelson) Meyer. Jerry was married to the late Maria (Preckl) Meyer from 1994 until her passing in February, 2025.
If you knew Jerry, you knew he loved motorcycles, and he loved to ride. The only thing he loved more was his family and being a grandpa. He took pleasure in being sarcastic and witty with people.
Jerry was also a naval veteran. He served from 1958 to 1962 as an awarded Gunner’s Mate Petty Officer 3rd Class (GMG3) on the USS TERREBONNE PARISH (LST-1156).
Jerry is survived by his children: John (Deborah) Meyer, Paul (Jill) Meyer, and Daniel (Kristine) Meyer. His step-children: Algwyn (Jacqueline), Brian (Gina) Stanely, Robert Stanely, and Daryl (Dorsie) Stanely. His sister Lynn Idle, his grandchildren, Justin, Christina (Al), Ashlen (Philip), Renée, Nathan, Alyssa (Gregory), Madisen (John), David (McKenzie), Patrick, Derek, and Haley. Jerry is further survived by his great-grandchildren: Ryder, Lennox, Brooks, Palmer, Raelen, Matthew, Everly, Emerson, and Jayden.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his son David Meyer, and his brothers Ronald and Dennis Meyer.
