October 22, 1932 – February 2, 2026
Charles Arthur Boero Jr., 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Kenosha Place Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Born in Kenosha on October 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Charles and Lorene (Corcoran) Boero Sr.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
On November 3, 1951, he married Edna Mae Prell.
Faith and service were central to Chuck’s life. A lifelong member of Northside Bible Church, he faithfully served in many roles over the years, including Treasurer, Trustee, and Deacon. He also helped with Awana and was always ready to step in wherever there was a need. His dedication reflected not obligation, but a sincere desire to serve others and honor his faith.
Chuck will be remembered as a helpful, witty, and kind man—a true gentleman whose life was marked by quiet generosity and steady faith. Those who knew him were often met with his willingness to lend a hand, his thoughtful humor, and his genuine care for others.
He found joy in many pursuits. Chuck loved pigeon racing, gardening, woodworking, and hunting, and had a deep appreciation for music, often playing the guitar. He also enjoyed traveling in his motor home, embracing the freedom of the open road and the simple pleasure of new places.
When people reflect on Chuck’s life, it is his kindness and faith that stand out most. He lived as a gentleman—steady, humble, and guided by strong beliefs that shaped how he treated everyone around him. His legacy is one of compassion, service, and quiet strength, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his three children, David (Sue) Boero, Julie (Tom) Strash, all of Kenosha and Michael (Kathryn) Boero of Racine; ten grandchildren, Karen Boero, Courtney (Tim) Monson, Casey Boero, Michael (Gina) Boero, Shannyn (Mike) Borzynski, Robert (Laura) Boero, Michelle (Pete) Farruggia, Ryan (Chris) Strash, Kyle (Lauren) Strash and Andrew (Stephany) Strash; 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Boero; his grandchildren, Katelyn and Brian Boero; and his sister, Morene DiCastri.
Funeral services honoring Charles’ life will be held privately.
