Donna J. Holmstrom, age 82 of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away peacefully at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI on June 26, 2026. She was born on October 26, 1943, to the late Russell and Bernice (Peterson) Ehlert. Donna lived in many places in the Wilmot area, settling in Twin Lakes for most of her life.
She married her high school sweetheart, Edward S. Holmstrom Jr., in 1962. Edward preceded her in death on May 4, 2024. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Twin Lakes and a member of the Women of Hope.
Donna loved to share memories of farm life, outhouses, fresh cut hay, milking cows, running with the boys, and climbing trees when she lived at Oriole Springs Apple Orchard.
She worked at American Motors in Kenosha, WI, early in their marriage and then settled in as the epitome of a homemaker, raising her kids and taking care of her home.
Family was everything to her. You couldn’t have a conversation without hearing about her kids, granddaughters, and great-grandkids. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and tending to her flowers.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Renette (Dale) Cates, son, Timothy (Laura) Holmstrom, Loving Grandmother to Rachel (Anthony) Bloxton, Heidi (Kevin) Shane, Courtney (Joshua) Maas, and Katie Holmstrom (Chris Brown). Great Grandmother to Winston, Josephine, Andrew, Camilla, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Bernice (Peterson) Ehlert, sister Patricia (Ehlert) Minnis, and infant daughter Cindy Sue.
Special Thank You to Pastor Timothy and Dawn Oswald for their love, friendship, and comfort. Judy Kelly, who helped at home, loved Donna and brought peace, joy, and laughter to Donna’s heart.
