Susan Garner, 84, of Kenosha, passed away on June 5, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center of Kenosha, surrounded by her loving family.
Susan was born on March 2, 1942, in Evanston, IL, the daughter of the late Vernon and Rita (Offner) Garner. She was educated in the schools of Evanston and Cedar Rapids, IA. Susan worked for the Kenosha Unified School District for many years. Her hobbies included spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren. She loved to work in her yard when she lived in her home. Her back patio overlooking her garden was her happy place. There isn’t a chick flick made that she couldn’t quote.
Spending time with friends gave her so much pleasure. Girls’ night with the ladies from KUSD and movie nights at Beech Point Apartments were her favorite. She would have done anything in the world for her grandchildren and never missed a concert, recital, graduation, or play if possible.
Survivors include her children, Keir (Kelly) Powell of Kenosha and Kirstin (Scott) Jensen of Sheboygan; sister, Hillary Klass of Kenosha; also included are her 5 grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, Valerie, Samuel, and Melanie. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James.
