James “Jim” Reesman passed away peacefully on May 16th at The Hospice Home in Pleasant Prairie, WI, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born on July 2nd, 1940, in Burlington to Ida and Joseph Reesman. Jim was a very caring and funny person. He loved to keep a smile on the faces of his family and friends. Jim spent many hours of his life on the lake fishing and loved to talk about his love and respect for the American Flag. Jim worked many jobs over the years, eventually retiring from Metro Milwaukee Auto Auction as a driver. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings (Fran, Mae, Carol, Vern, Jake, and Joe), He is survived by his sister Barb Janecky, sister in law Joann Reesman, his bonus son and fishing buddy Daniel (Dawn) Miller, bonus daughter Korie (Steve) Wishart, and a host of nieces and nephews he held close to his heart.
Funeral Services for Jim will take place at noon on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends can visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, June 13th, from 10 am until the service at noon. Private burial of Jim’s ashes will take place at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery in Dover.
