Kyle Edward Ascheman, an amazing father, husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 30, 2026, in a seemingly small boating accident.
Those who knew Kyle know he never did anything “small” or halfway. He was a doer and a perfectionist, a proud and loving father and husband. Kyle was a loyal son and friend, an antagonistic brother, and the first person everyone called for help.
Kyle brought light and laughter to everyone who was lucky enough to know him. He was a rock to so many, but especially his loving wife, Kristy, and their children, Brett and Edward. Kyle and Kristy were married on April 16, 2016, and quickly built a beautiful family with their two children, Brett and Edward.
Kyle could do anything. In addition to actually rebuilding their family home, Kyle ran a successful contracting business. That business continued to grow as he demonstrated a steadfast reliability for quality, attention to detail, and an infallible work ethic.
In addition to loving carpentry, Kyle enjoyed time fishing, golfing, building and racing RC cars, and time spent at the cabin and lake with family and friends.
Kyle is survived by his loving wife, Kristy; daughter, Brett; son, Edward; mother, Shelly Schmidt; sister, Kelly Knocke; stepbrother, Joshua Koehn; stepsister, Kristi Koehn; aunts, Cheryl DeBell, Kristin Schmidt, and Patricia (Keith) Sagert; uncles, Barry (Mary) Schmidt and Gerald Schmidt; son-in-law to Brett and Debbie Stinebrink. Kyle was also a brother-in-law to Michael (Traci) Stinebrink, Cory Stinebrink (Robin Rutlin), Timothy Stinebrink, Benjamin (Monika) Stinebrink, and Todd (Cora) Stinebrink.
He is mourned and remembered with deep affection as he joins family members who have preceded him in death, including grandparents Edward (Arlene) Schmidt; uncles Gary, Larry, and Ricky Schmidt; aunt Theresa Bice; as well as grandparents through marriage Edward (Eleanor) Stinebrink and Pete (Jeanne) Trewyn.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 9th, at noon at Veterans Park in Genoa City. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Genoa City, WI, is honored to serve the Ascheman family.
