David Charles Kaley, born March 24th, 1967, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away at the age of 59. A Kenosha native through and through, David was known for his warmth, humor, and the genuine charisma that made him loved by so many.
David lived life with curiosity, passion, and a deep appreciation for the world around him. He loved photography, playing guitar, and exploring new places, especially internationally. He was happiest outdoors in warm weather, whether he was golfing (his absolute favorite), biking the trails, hiking, or simply enjoying a good cup of coffee in the sunshine. He had a lifelong love of computers, cars, and especially motorcycles, with his Harley holding a special place in his heart. He also had a sharp eye for fashion, a love for good food, particularly cheeseburgers and chocolate, and a soft spot for handmade jewelry from Peacetree Originals and art that carried a story.
Animals were family to David. He adored his dog, Tina, and his “granddog,” Frankie, who knew him only as “Grandpa.” His cats Lily and Levi (and even Myles) were his companions and comforts, each one deeply loved.
Faith was central to David’s life. As an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kenosha, he lived as a man grounded in God’s grace, humble, grateful, and guided by compassion with an appreciation for cathedrals.
In August of 2022, David met his soulmate, Ana Corona, in a moment that felt written by fate. Their connection was instant, deep, and undeniable. Their love grew into a beautiful partnership, and on May 18th, 2024, they married in Bernal, Mexico, a city that quickly became David’s favorite place in the world. Over time, he embraced Mexican culture and traditions with joy, humor, and genuine affection, proudly becoming “a little bit Mexican” himself.
David was blessed with twin daughters, Natalie and Valerie, born on March 1st, 2002. They were the pride of his life. He supported them fiercely, loved them endlessly, and celebrated every accomplishment with a full heart. His humor, especially his sarcasm and dad jokes, made him a favorite among their friends, whom he treated like his own.
A graduate of Tremper High School’s Class of 1985, David went on to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1990 to 1994 as part of the 3rd Battalion, 12th Special Forces Group (Airborne), the Green Berets. He served with honor and was proud of his time in uniform.
David continued his education with determination and pride, earning his Bachelor’s in Management and Communications from Concordia University in 2010 and his Master of Business Administration from UW–Parkside in 2021. His career in industrial automation spanned product marketing, project management, business development, and global segment leadership. He dreamed of a semi-retirement that included becoming a college professor and pursuing his doctorate, goals he spoke of often and with excitement.
David will be remembered for his humor, his kindness, his easygoing nature, and the way he made every person feel welcome. He was affable, charismatic, and full of life, a man who could light up a room with a joke, a smile, or a story.
David is survived by his loving wife, Ana; his daughters, Natalie and Valerie; his father, David Lee; his sister, Kim; his brother, Jason (Denise); his sister-in-law, Aidee (Jorge); and his nieces and nephews: Jacob (Brynna), Drake, Jordy, Paco, Angel, Ellioth, Alina (Ryan), and Evangeline.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara, and his brother, Daniel.
David’s presence was a gift, warm, joyful, and unforgettable. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his love, laughter, and spirit will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew him. His soul will continue to live on through the people he loved the most, carried in their memories, their stories, and the love he gave so freely.
1 Corinthians 13:13- And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
Services for David will be held on Tuesday, June 9th at Trinity Lutheran Church (7104 39th Ave, Kenosha). Visitation with the family will take place from 4-6 pm, with a funeral service to follow immediately after.
