Barbara Crain, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the age of 78 in Kenosha, WI. She was born on September 16, 1947, in New Albany, MS Barbara lived a life rich with love, laughter, and dedication.
Barbara’s journey led her to a fulfilling career at American Motors, which later became Chrysler’s engine plant, where she devoted 30 years of hard work and loyalty, retiring in May of 2009. Her commitment to her work was mirrored by her pride in being a part of the U.A.W. Local 72 Union, where she found camaraderie and purpose.
Those who knew Barbara would fondly recall her love for singing, whether she was belting out tunes in the car or lending her voice to the church choir. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she embraced her Christian beliefs with a heart full of compassion and grace.
Family gatherings were particularly special to Barbara. She had a gift for bringing loved ones together with her delicious cooking and warm hospitality, especially during holidays and birthdays. Her kitchen was the heart of many cherished memories, filled with laughter, love, and the delightful aroma of her culinary creations.
Barbara is survived by her loving children: daughters, LaToya Crain, Glenda DalCanton (Michael), and sons, André Mosley, Darren Crain, and Wyble Leon Crain, Jr. Her family extended further with her brothers, Willie (Willie), Arthur Mosley, Thomas Mosley, Preston E. Mosley (Sarah), and Robert Lee Mosley (Shelly), nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyble Lee Crain, Sr.; her daughter, Virda Walker-Hayden; her sister, Irene Mosley, Bertha M. Price (David); her father, Eurezie Mosley, Sr.; her brother, Eurezie Mosley, Jr.; and her mother, Isabell Mosley.
Barbara Crain’s legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.
