Mary Jane (Buckett) Turnock, 87, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 21, 1938, to Donald and Helen (Chart) Buckett, Mary Jane lived a life defined by joy, generosity, and an unshakable love of adventure.
In 1958, Mary Jane married the love of her life, Ralph. Together, they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage before his passing – a partnership built on laughter, devotion, and countless memories made side by side. They raised their family in Union Grove, Wisconsin, where they operated several successful businesses, creating not just livelihoods but lasting connections within their community. In 1991, they retired early and headed south to Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
As an avid traveler, she and Ralph spent many years road-tripping across the country, visiting all 50 states in their motorhome and Jeep. She loved boating, never missed an opportunity to dance, and was sharp at the card table, often winning with a mix of luck, skill, and a knowing smile.
She brought laughter, warmth, and friendship wherever she went. Family meant everything to her, traveling up to her final days to spend time with them. Whether hosting a gathering or crafting handmade keepsakes, she gave her whole heart. Mary Jane truly lived for good company, good memories, and a good time.
Mary Jane is survived by children, Coleen (Steve) Southwell, Rick (Liz) Turnock, Ryan (Lori) Turnock, and Corinne (Norm) Angotti; 11 grandchildren, Michael (Pierre Maitre) Southwell, Matthew (Sarah) Southwell, Adam (Tara) Turnock, Andrea (Joseph) Condict, Kierstin (Thomas Flack) Turnock, Lee (Allyson Arnone) Southwell, Carley Turnock, Brooke Turnock, Victoria Angotti, Glen Angotti and Joseph Angotti; and 7 great-grandchildren, Rory, Reese, Rhett, and Rex Turnock, Sloane and Carter Condict, and Freya Southwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Carol Buckett; parents Don and Helen Buckett, her stepmother Adina Buckett, and in-laws Glenn and Marie (Fuller) Turnock.
Visitation will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 3320 S. Colony Ave., Union Grove, Wisconsin. Interment to follow in Westlawn Memorial Park, Racine, Wisconsin.
