Carol L. Golly, age 82 of Elkhorn, WI, died peacefully at The Gardens at RidgeStone in Elkhorn, WI, surrounded by her family on May 1, 2026. Carol was born on January 17, 1944, the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Osborne) Bransky. On April 24, 1965, Carol was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Golly; together they raised their family and created a lifetime of memories up until Dick’s passing on March 1st of this year. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed the relaxing time she had while reading. She enjoyed baking and playing bunco while spending time at home. In earlier years, she enjoyed being on the boat, their timeshare in Florida, vacations to Hawaii, and cruises with their family and friends. She and Dick also enjoyed many summertime fish fry Fridays at Badger Bob’s, meeting new people and making new friends every summer. Carol is preceded in death by her husband Dick and her parents. She is survived by her children, Christine (Robert) Caliendo, Mark (Liz) Golly, grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Caliendo, Alyssa (Grant Piske) Caliendo, Katelyn (Tommy) Taylor, Bailey Golly, John Golly, and one great-grandchild, Sadie Taylor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for both Carol and Dick on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth Street, Elkhorn, WI. Visitation will be held before the Mass beginning at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carol’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
