Robert “Bob-O” Lowrey, age 64, of Salem, Wisconsin, abruptly busted through the gates of heaven on Friday, April 24th, 2026.
Bob-O was born on June 30th, 1961, to his hard-working and devoted parents, Don and Marilyn Lowrey. Throughout his childhood on Lake Shangri-La, he was, according to his Mom, “constantly up to no good” with many cousins and neighborhood friends. He lived without fear, driving every vehicle as if it were a race car, fixing vehicles, banging gears on his motorcycle, and even racing out at Wilmot Speedway with his Dad, brother, and friends. Upon graduation from Westosha Central High School, he started his family in Shangri-La. Bob-O raised his children, Christy, Bobby, and Stephanie A., alongside a whole community of adopted aunts and uncles, enjoying picnics, parties, parades, derbies, boating, and lake-life fun. He had the biggest heart of gold and always gave a helping hand whenever someone needed it.
Bob-O spent many years working at PPG Mazer/BASF in Waukegan, Illinois, managing a large crew of mischief-makers with lectures and encouragement. He continued his iron fist and gentle giant managing in Auburn Hills, Michigan, at Tec-Mar Distribution, where he met and wooed his beautiful bride of nearly 27 years, Stephanie. Bob-O moved back to Wisconsin 20 years ago, spearheading sales, communication, and workforce livelihood for Creative Concrete in Salem. He lived every day to the fullest with his wife, Stephanie, and their two adorable chihuahuas.
Bob-O is survived by his wife, Stephanie S. (Francisco) Lowrey, children, Christy (McAlpine) Lowrey, Robert “Bobby” Lowrey Jr., Stephanie A. (Fredrickson) Lowrey, and Austin Francisco, brother, Monty Lowrey, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Bob-O reunited in heaven with both of his parents, Donald and Marilyn (Fortin) Lowrey, his sisters Linda (Lowrey) Rice and Lori (Lowrey) Ketterhagen, and his mother-in-law, Kathleen (Francisco) Dristy.
A memorial service will be held on May 23rd, 2026, at The Lake Shangri-La Community Center, 22112 121st Street, Bristol, WI 53104, at 12 pm. A celebration of life for Bob-O will immediately follow at the Sandlots of Salem, 9251 Antioch Road, Salem Lakes, WI, at 3 pm.
Bob-O will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. There were too many good times to share, but family and friends carry the memories of the outlandish shenanigans and outpouring of friendship and love that enveloped his presence for each of us. Let’s carry forward his gift of storytelling by bringing your best Bob-O stories for the gathering, where he will get to be the “life of the party” just one more time!
