With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Forton, who left us on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 64. She was born on July 31, 1961, to John and Mary Jane (Hansen) Forton.
A dedicated supervisor in the manufacturing industry, Mary brought not only her skill but also her nurturing spirit to her work, earning the respect and affection of her colleagues.
She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, attending arts and crafts festivals, and farmer’s markets. She made and donated quilts and blankets to various people and organizations. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
She is survived by her father, John Forton; her sisters, Christine Drago and Elizabeth (John) Vukich; niece, Bethany Drago (Trenton); nephews, Michael and Steven Drago; great-nieces, Blake and Avery; great-nephew, Caleb; aunt, Carol Felker (Dan); and uncle, Peter Hansen. She also leaves many cousins and friends who will sadly miss her.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Forton.
Mary had a heart of gold and displayed that to her family and friends. Her gentle humor and kind heart touched everyone around her, and she had a way of making those she encountered feel special and valued. She will be deeply missed.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all caregivers, including friends, for their compassionate care and support.
In honor of Mary’s request, no services will be held. A charitable remembrance may be made of your choice in reference to Mary E. Forton.
