Marcella L. Schulz, 94, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Pine Brook Pointe.
Born in Alfred, North Dakota, on November 21, 1931, she was the daughter of John and Ottilia (nee Reebhagen) Schweitzer. Her early life was spent in Jamestown, North Dakota. On December 22, 1950, in Jamestown, she was united in marriage to Leo Schulz. He preceded her in death in 2004. Most recently, she lived in Kansasville for 8 years before moving to Burlington for the past 2 years.
Marcella was a homemaker and a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Gurnee, Illinois. She enjoyed crocheting, rummage sales, and spending time with her family.
Marcella is survived by her children, Dianna Lange and Sherry Schneckloth; grandchildren, L.J. Lange, Mark Lange, Breanna Lange, Tony (Amy) Schulz, and Christy (Ben) Wallace; and brother, Walter (Finnie) Schweitzer. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Daryl Schulz, Alice (Alex) Moos, Hilma (Ralph) Morris, Violina (Philip) Moos, Selma (Carl) Dasher, Harold Schweitzer, Matilda (Wilbur) Kurtz, and Cecilia (Bob) Pappas.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Pine Brook Pointe and Brighton Hospice for their care and compassion during this time.
