Wayne Merow Jr., of Kenosha, passed away on April 11, 2026, at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center with his wife by his side.
Wayne was born on August 23, 1941, in Sparta, WI, the son of the late Wayne and Hulda (Johnson) Merow Sr. He was educated in the schools of Sparta. Wayne married Sharon Fischbach on May 25, 1974, in Kenosha. He worked as an engine tester for JI Case for 30 years. His hobbies included taking road trips, going to casinos, collecting tractors, but most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Merow of Kenosha; special godson, Daniel Herolt of Winthrop Harbor, IL; also included are many nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brothers William and Lynn; sisters Rita and Ruth; and his godson, Guy.
The family would like to give a special thank you to special Godson Daniel, Karla, Sandy, Dale, and Ann, and a special thank you to Horizon Hospice, especially Alexis, Becca, and Cassie, and also a thank you to the staff at Grand Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center in the garden wing for the wonderful care and support.
A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM with funeral services to follow immediately at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park/
