Throughout 2025, the BGC Sports, in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha’s Golf Foundation, remained steadfast in its mission to support and expand youth golf programming, providing transformative opportunities for young people in our community. By fostering skill development, discipline, and confidence through the game of golf, BGC Sports and the Foundation played a vital role in shaping the next generation—both on and off the course.
In 2025, the BGC Sports program proudly served 86 youth through various golf programs. Additionally, 18 young golfers received scholarships, allowing them to participate in the summer golf program regardless of financial barriers.
Scholarships for 2026 are available now, continuing our commitment to ensuring that cost is never a barrier to participation. Interested families are encouraged to apply early to secure a spot in this year’s programs.
“Golf is more than a game—it’s a gateway to life skills, perseverance, and personal growth,” said Tara Panasewicz, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. “Thanks to the generosity of the Golf Foundation and our dedicated instructors and volunteers, we’ve created a space where our youth can discover their potential in a supportive, skill-building environment.”
One of last year’s participants, King M., a 10-year-old 4th grader at St. Joseph Academy, shared his experience:
“Golf camp was a blast! I was really excited when my mom signed me up because I had only played mini golf before, and this was way better. I learned how to stand the right way and hold the golf club correctly. After just my second try, I was able to putt the ball into the cup, which made me really proud. My favorite part was hitting long shots—I even hit the ball the farthest out of everyone! When I got back to the Club, I couldn’t wait to tell my friends and my mom all about it. I hope I get to do it again because I know it will be just as much fun. Thank you for letting me be part of this program!”
The success of the 2025 golf season would not have been possible without the incredible team of instructors and volunteers. The Club extends heartfelt thanks to golf instructors David Molinaro and Joe Madrigrano, and volunteer instructors Aaron Vitkus, Tony Stella, and PGA Professional Tom Befera whose time, expertise, and encouragement made a lasting impression on every participant.
Looking ahead to 2026, BGC Sports is excited to continue its partnership with the Golf Foundation to:
- Increase participation and expand access to programming.
- Add new instructors to elevate instructional quality.
- Introduce new scholarships to eliminate financial barriers for families.
- Ensure every youth, regardless of background, can benefit from the game of golf.
Financial support remains essential to sustaining and growing these life-changing programs. The BGC Sports expresses deep gratitude to all donors, partners, and community members who have helped empower local youth through golf.
