James Arnold Schiller, 77, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, died February 26th, 2026. He was born July 12th, 1948, to Arnold and Gloria (Michetti) Schiller. He was a graduate of Tremper High School, class of 1966.
James served in the US Army from 1968 to 1970, serving as a Sharpshooter (Rifle) during his time stationed in Italy. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Upon his return, he was married in 1974.
James was a gifted mechanic and a dedicated employee of AMC/Chrysler. He spent many years helping family and friends with their automotive needs and retired in 2001.
In his later years, James’ life was increasingly shaped by the tenets of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. This religious path led to a period of estrangement from his family as his focus shifted toward his religion. In alignment with these commitments, his final estate was bequeathed to the organization and acknowledged by the Watchtower with a message of Kingdom advancement as “whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully”.
James is survived by his children: Steven (Olivia) Schiller, Scott Schiller, and Laura (Mark) Hufen, who remain a close-knit group dedicated to supporting one another; as well as 8 grandchildren and his siblings David Schiller, Janice Cantrell, and Richard Schiller.
A brief military interment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery for family and close friends.
