Kenosha County Food Bank (KCFB) and the Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency (RKCAA) are proud to announce a strategic partnership launching April 1, 2026, focused on expanding food access and strengthening food security for individuals and families throughout Kenosha County.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to addressing hunger in Kenosha by aligning infrastructure, expertise, and community trust to ensure residents have reliable access to nutritious food – delivered with dignity, efficiency, and care.

Access to nutritious food directly impacts health outcomes, educational success, workforce participation, and overall community well-being. By strengthening food access in Kenosha County, both organizations are investing in the long-term stability and resilience of the community.

Ron Tatum, CEO of Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency, shared: “As the needs of Kenosha County continue to grow and evolve, collaboration becomes essential. This partnership allows us to build upon the strong foundation already in place while expanding our capacity to serve Kenosha residents more effectively. Together, we are focused on impact, access, and long-term stability for the families we serve.”

Through this collaboration, RKCAA will support and enhance food distribution efforts within Kenosha County by serving as an operational and community-based partner – strengthening pantry networks, increasing coordination, and supporting large-scale and targeted food access initiatives for residents facing food security challenges. Priority populations include families with children, seniors, individuals experiencing housing instability, and households navigating economic hardship.

KCFB provides local expertise in food sourcing, logistics, and pantry support, while RKCAA contributes established infrastructure, trusted relationships, and a comprehensive network of supportive services – including energy assistance, housing stability programs, nutrition education, workforce development, and
emergency support services – all serving Kenosha County residents.

The collaboration also positions Kenosha County for expanded and innovative food access strategies, including enhanced TEFAP distribution, emergency response coordination, and community-based distribution models that meet residents where they are.

“This partnership represents what is possible when organizations come together with a shared mission and a deep commitment to Kenosha,” Tatum added. “It is about ensuring that no neighbor goes hungry and that every family has the opportunity to thrive.”

Each organization remains an independent non-profit agency while leveraging one another’s strengths and optimizing resources ensuring more funding directly impacts families and individuals in need throughout our community.
