Patricia “Pat” J. Welter, 79, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Hospital.
She was born on November 28, 1946, to the late Harold and Rachel (Howell) Koerth in Baraboo, WI. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
On April 6, 1974, she married Eugene J. Welter at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2023.
Pat first worked as a librarian for the Kenosha Public Library and the Book Mobile from 1965 to 1975. After having her children, Pat worked as a teacher’s aide and kitchen help at St. Thomas Catholic school while her children were attending there. Then, she worked in data entry at Jockey International for 30 years.
Pat was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader, enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and was an avid reader. Pat had a great sense of humor, was a kind-hearted woman, and a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Pat is survived by her son Brian Welter, her daughter JoAnn Fish, her granddaughter Arilyn, her sister Linda (Harold) Sikorski, and her brother Rick (Evo) Koerth.
Graveside Services for Pat will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Chapel (4300 Green Bay Road). Share this obituary
