Carol M. Wagner, 96, of Brighton, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, at her home.
Born on August 21, 1929, she was the daughter of Anthony and Celia (nee Auterman) King. Her early life was spent in Burlington, where she graduated from St. Mary Catholic High School. She married Allen Eppers in 1950. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1954. On December 12, 1955, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Joseph “Jeddy” Wagner. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1999. She was a Brighton resident for 69 years.
Carol retired after working 19 years at Nestle. She was also co-owner of Jeddy’s Bar for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and Christian Mothers. She was an avid sports fan of the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers. She enjoyed bowling, card playing, pull tabs, and traveling. She also loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.
Carol is survived by her children, Toni (Steve) McCarthy, Joy (Jimmie) Grossmann, Lisa (Jay) Sorensen, Andrew Wagner, and Jodie (Jason) Hammock; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; children, Sherry (Pat) Butler, Tim Wagner, and Patrice Glas; granddaughter, Elisha Wagner; and siblings, Betty (Norbert) Weber and Bill (Gloria) Holdorf.
The family would like to thank the Aurora at Home Hospice nurses and staff for their care during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Noon at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until Noon at the CHURCH. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
