Tom H. Versteegh, 65, of Burlington, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, on February 25, 1961, he was the son of Hugh and Carmen (nee Romano) Versteegh. His early life was spent in Chicago, where he graduated from St. Patrick’s High School.
Tom worked as a machinist for Swiss Tech in Delavan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, model cars, repairing cars, and riding motorcycles. He took after his mother and played many musical instruments and enjoyed singing.
Tom is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Bybee, brother, Hugh (Amy) Versteegh, and nieces Ally and Katie. Tom is further survived by his best friend, Jerry Wood. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 fur babies, Rosco, Ruger, and Charlie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
A gathering to celebrate Tom’s life will be held in the future.
