It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margie Ann Raymaker, age 79, who left this world peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on November 20, 1946, in Milwaukee to her parents, Ralph and Helen (Neuner) Beduhn, Margie was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and a beloved educator who dedicated her life to teaching and inspiring others.
In love, Margie married her husband, Robert L. Raymaker, on February 24, 1968, in Illinois. Together, they created a beautiful family and shared countless memories filled with laughter and love.
Margie, who earned her bachelor’s degree in St. Paul, MN, devoted many years of her life to the field of education, serving as a special education teacher at Concordia Lutheran School, Durkee Elementary, Frank Elementary, Washington Middle School, and Bullen Middle School in Kenosha. Her impact on her students and the community was exceptional, marked by her unwavering passion for helping those with special needs and her belief in the potential of every child.
Margie was a passionate soul with a love for knitting, cross-stitch, and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. She could often be found solving word searches and fill-ins, a testament to her love for learning and creativity. Her compassion and love extended beyond her family to the many foster dogs she cared for, providing them with a safe and loving home.
She is survived by her cherished son, Michael (Kassondra) Raymaker; her devoted daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Woodward, as well as her sister-in-law, Nancy Beduhn, and her grandchildren, Jared, Emma, Jacob, Kyle, and Gavin.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Helen Beduhn; her husband, Robert L. Raymaker; her son, John Raymaker; and her brother, Richard Beduhn.
Margie’s kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many, and her legacy will continue through the hearts of all those who knew her. Margie will forever remain in our hearts – a guiding light and a source of strength. Her spirit will live on through the love she imparted to her family and her countless students.
Inurnment will be held privately at a later date in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Hospice Alliance https://www.hospicealliance.org/ would be appreciated.
