Rose “Ann” DeBrabander, 92, of Kansasville, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Oak Ridge Care Center.
Born in Racine, Wisconsin, on March 14, 1934, she was the daughter of Matthias “Matt” and Amy (nee Bennett) Huck. Her early life was spent in Racine and she graduated with a teaching degree from Union Grove Normal School. On June 1, 1957, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Arthur DeBrabander. Following marriage, they made Kansasville their home. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2004.
Ann worked as a teacher and substitute teacher, treasurer for the Town of Dover and secretary at Kansasville Grade School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover and volunteered at the American Legion Post 171 in Union Grove. She loved playing cards, attending and volunteering at church, socializing with her friends, traveling all over the world, and spending time with her family.
Ann is survived by her children, Michael (Linda) DeBrabander Sr., Terry (Deborah) DeBrabander, Leo (Dana) DeBrabander and Thomas (Diane Stieg) DeBrabander; grandchildren, Michael (Katie) DeBrabander Jr., Mark (Laura) DeBrabander, Katie (Dan) Kasprzak, Ethan (Kira) DeBrabander, Jacob DeBrabander, Luke DeBrabander, Nicole (Tim) Behrens, Sara DeBrabander, Brianna (Mike) Smits, Jessi DeBrabander and Jason (Emily) DeBrabander; great-grandchildren, Quentin, Elliot (Julianna), Noah, Ada, Lennon, Nash and Carter; and sister-in-law, Ellen Huck. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Peter DeBrabander, brothers Edward Huck and William (Marcia) Huck and sister Maggie (Gerry) Asmann.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 31st at Noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover. Other relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:00AM until 11:30 AM at the CHURCH. Burial will take place after Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Dover.
