Cyrus “Cy” W. Perkins, 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 23, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on July 17, 1939, to the late Daurus and Mary (Pivot) Perkins in Sextonville, WI. He was educated in the schools of Blue River.
On August 19, 1961, he married Karen L. Collins in Blue River.
Cy entered the US Army on January 23, 1963, and was honorably discharged on January 22, 1969.
Cy worked as a superintendent for Lakeside Steel for 35 years. After retirement, he drove a semi-truck, a school bus for Shoreland High School, and worked part-time at Coleman Tool.
Cy was a member of New Life Church
Cy loved taking care of his great-grandkids, woodworking, being a good cook, and visiting with neighbors.
Cy is survived by his wife Karen, his daughter Jayne E. Fisher, his granddaughter Stephanie (Tony Torres) Perkins, his great-grandchildren Jovani, Victoria, and Penelope, and his brother Kenneth Perkins.
He is preceded in death by his son Corey W. Perkins, his brother Frank Perkins, and his sister Edith Tisdale.
A Celebration of Life for Cy will be held on Saturday, April 11th, at 11:00 a.m. with Full Military Honors to follow at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Private inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
