Edwin I. Kutz, 73 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at his home. He was born on October 31, 1952, in Elgin, IL, the son of the late Irwin and Bernice (Scharringhausen) Kutz. Ed owned and operated Whispering Winds, his instrument repair company, for 35 years. He loved farming and tending to the vegetable garden throughout his entire life on the family property. Ed enjoyed singing in the choir at First United Methodist Church in Elkhorn, WI.
Ed is survived by his girlfriend of 26 years, Tina Behnke, his two children, Bethany (Adrian) Kutz and Isaiah (Kayla) Kutz, six grandchildren, Sophie and Lucas Kutz, Riley Groves, Savannah Kutz, Krystal and Kaitlyn Groves, his mother of his children, Nada Kutz, and close family friend, Ken Behnke. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, 111 N. Broad St., Elkhorn, WI. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service time on Monday at the church. Interment will follow services at Hazel Ridge Cemetery in Elkhorn, WI.
