Gerald Leonard, 81, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on March 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Gerald was born on March 20, 1944, in Waukesha, WI, the son of the late Henry Eugene and Anita (Krough) Leonard. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Bradford High School. Gerald married Jacqueline Blanck on August 28, 1965. He was a millwright for OMC/Johnson Motors, then later worked for Blancks Welding and Coleman Cable. Gerald was a member of the United States Army and was also a member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church. His hobbies included going to garage sales, tinkering in the garage, watching old movies, enjoying music, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, but most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Kristin (Keith) Humphres of Pleasant Prairie, Gerald Leonard Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Annmarie (Rob) Fontaine of Bristol; his sister, Norma Leonard of Kenosha; also included are his grandchildren, Hanna (Cait) Christensen, Elizabeth Fontaine, Madison Fontaine, Peyton Fontaine, Zachary Leonard, and Olivia Leonard. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, William “Billy,” and his sister, Dolores.
A visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church (2001 80th St, Kenosha, WI 53143) on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM with funeral services to follow immediately at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
