Michael Edward Kehoe, 83, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. Michael was born on November 18, 1942, in Marinette, Wisconsin, to Edward Joseph Kehoe and Joyce (née Miller) Kehoe. He spent much of his life in Marinette and Kenosha, Wisconsin, building a life centered on service, learning, and community.
Michael pursued his education at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he earned his bachelor’s degree, before continuing to receive his law degree from Marquette University Law School. He devoted his professional life to the legal field, working as a private practice attorney and later serving as a Family Court Commissioner, where he was known for his fairness, integrity, and thoughtful approach.
Beyond his career, Michael was widely known as an intellectual and a deeply well-read individual who had a passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others. He was extremely active in his community and volunteered across many organizations, including museums and schools. One of his greatest joys was volunteering in schools, where he was loved and respected by students and staff alike.
Michael had a generous spirit and opened his home to many. He served as a foster parent to high school students, hosted international exchange students studying abroad, and even welcomed Minnesota Twins players during their time in the area. His kindness and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on many lives.
He also shared his love of music with a wider audience through a radio program dedicated to jazz, reaching listeners across the country. Through his voice and music selections, he connected with countless people who shared his appreciation for the genre.
Michael is survived by his sisters Kathleen Walker, Margaret Krueger, and Patricia Wiskow; His cherished nieces and nephews, Jeffery Kehoe, Samantha Parker, Andrew Krueger, Rebecca Cline, Diane Cook, Evan Wiskow, and Jenna Wiskow; and loving cousin and dear friend, Mary Ann Kehoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Joseph and Joyce Kehoe, his brother Timothy Kehoe, his sister Nan Kehoe, and his nephew Blaine Wiskow.
In accordance with Michael’s wishes and those of his family, no formal service will be held. A private interment will take place at a later date in Marinette, Wisconsin.
Michael will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful, and respected man whose life reflected service, generosity, and intellectual curiosity.
