Andrew Boening, 83, of Salem, passed away on January 18, 2026, at Grande Prairie Care and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Andrew was born on February 11, 1942, in Evanston, IL, the son of the late Leroy and Esther (Paasch) Boening. He was educated in the schools of Round Lake, IL. Andrew married Shirley Balser on November 11, 1961, in Round Lake, IL. He was a foreman/millwright for K&K Screw Products for many years. Andrew was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Paddock Lake. He was a member of the Paddock Lake Sportsman’s Club and supported Ducks Unlimited. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, being outdoors, coin collecting, going on casino trips with his family and friends, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Boening of Salem, WI; sons, Jeffrey Boening of Salem, WI, Steve (Julie) Boening of Glenbeulah, WI; grandchildren, Jacob (Megen) Boening, Kate (Anthony) Ulman, Drew Boening; also included are his great-grandchildren, Kolton and Owen. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
