1938 – 2026
John K. Kreuser, age 87, passed away on January 4, 2026, at Heather Hill Healthcare Center in New
Port Richey, Florida. He was born on March 14, 1938, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and was a son of Mercedes (Quilici) and Andrew Jacob Kreuser.
He attended school in Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. He joined the U. S. Navy in 1957 and was Honorably Discharged in 1960, having served on the USS Valley Forge Aircraft Carrier. Upon completing military service, he worked for American Motors Corporation for six years, then for Pepsi Cola for three years as a Teamster, and finally at Canteen Vending Corporation for 27 years, having retired on July 1, 2000.
John was a devout Catholic. He married Martha Wojcehowicz at St. Thomas Catholic Church on November 16, 1963.
John was an avid golfer who got not only one, but two “holes in one.” He enjoyed all water sports with his children, grandchildren, and friends, especially teaching them all how to water ski and drive boats.
He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, traveling, and cruising. Throughout his life, he enjoyed motorcycle riding with his friends and family.
After John’s retirement, he became a Eucharist minister for the homebound at St Mary Catholic Church in Kenosha and, when he and Martha bought a home in Holiday, FL, he and Martha continued bringing communion to the homebound.
John was very active in the community of Tanglewood Mobile Village, where he was on the Board of Directors and the President of the Men’s Club for seven years. He re-established selling ads for the TMV Telephone Directory as a fundraiser for the Men’s Club and successfully maintained that for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; children, John A. Kreuser (Angie), Pam S. Hauke, Christopher F. Kreuser, and Kelly W. Kreuser; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brother, Larry Kreuser.
He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Mercedes Kreuser and brothers Paul (Duke), Delbert, and Darrell Kreuser.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 31st at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Holiday, FL, with a mass at 10 am.
