September 28, 1947 – December 23, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eugene L. Sovich, who left us on Tuesday, December 23, 202, at Aurora Medical Center. Born on September 28, 1947, to the late Walter and Susan (Breigenzer) Sovich. Eugene was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, known for his warm smile, kind spirit, and unwavering support for his loved ones.
While deployed to Okinawa, Japan, as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, Eugene met Kazue, the love of his life. Upon his return to the States, they were married on March 15, 1972, and spent 53 wonderful years together.
Eugene served for over 30 years as an automotive assembly worker at AMC/Chrysler and retired in 2004.
In his leisure time, Eugene loved to tinker with cars and attend area car shows. He loved his four-legged pals, Roscoe, Bruno, and Keiko, who brought him companionship and joy.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Kazue; his son, Michael (Laura) Sovich; and his brother, Karl Sovich.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services honoring Eugene’s life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin Humane Society Kenosha Campus (https://www.wihumane.org/) would be appreciated.
