Vincent J. Lia, 93, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on December 8, 1932, to the late Charles and Rosa (Castignina) Lia in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School.
On January 21, 1953, Vincent entered the US Army and was honorably discharged on December 30, 1954.
Vincent worked as an inspector for AMC/Chrysler for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of UAW Local #72.
Vincent loved casino trips, vacationing in Las Vegas, was a sports card collector, and enjoyed coaching women’s softball. He was proud of the fact that he played on the World Softball Championship Team with Tirabassi’s, and he was inducted into the Kenosha Softball Hall of Fame. He was also an avid Cubs fan.
Vincent is survived by his son Michael (Colleen) Lia, a brother-in-law Joseph Kelly, and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Lia, Rose Kelly, Dorothy Littner, and Sue Tankersley, and a nephew.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Bruch-Hansen Funeral Home (6019 – 7th Ave.). A second visitation will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5100 – 22nd Ave.) on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial with Full Military Honors to follow. Entombment will be private at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park on Monday, January 5, 2026. Memorials would be appreciated by the family.
