Florence Ziehr, 88, of Kenosha, passed away on December 19, 2025, at Parkside Manor, surrounded by her loving family.
Florence was born on May 25, 1937, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Emmett and Cecile (Long) Dorion. She was educated in the schools in Chicago until 1952, when they all moved to Rhinelander. Florence married William Ziehr on August 12, 1961, in Rhinelander. She was a school bus driver for 26 years. Florence was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, camping, going on casino trips, traveling, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, but most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her children, Robyn (James) DeBettignies of Kenosha, Mark (Stacie) Ziehr of Kenosha, Bryan (Dawn) Ziehr of Kenosha, Kevin (Laurie) Ziehr of Mt. Pleasant, Pam (Rick) Usinger of Kenosha; sisters, Dolly Rolain of Sturtevant, Margie Fuhst of Sheboygan; also included are her 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Robert, John, Donald, Emmett, and her sisters, Dorothy and Frances.
A visitation will be held at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (7307 40th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53142) on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM with funeral services to follow immediately at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
