Vernon was born in Racine to parents LaVerne and Marguerite Vrooman. He was educated in Racine Schools and eventually received his associate’s degree in accounting from Gateway. He then worked for several area businesses in their accounting departments, but ultimately became a caregiver for his parents, a role he kept until his mother’s death.
In his spare time, Vernon loved socializing with friends and was very popular in his apartment building. He loved poetry and even had a poem published some years ago. He served as a caregiver for several close friends, driving around town with them and relaxing. He was also known for his deep love of coffee. He would go for coffee often, sometimes multiple times per day! Above all, he loved looking after his family and friends, providing companionship and comfort for many.
Vernon is survived by his sister Vicki Siepler, nephews Nickolas Siepler and Jamie Vrooman, and niece Hillary Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dan Vrooman, and his niece Amy Norris.
Vernon will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man.
