August 19, 1925 – December 1, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert “Al” Patty, born on August 19, 1925, in Caryville, TN. A devoted father, grandfather, and friend, Albert left this world surrounded by love and cherished memories. He was a pillar of strength for his family and a source of kindness for all who knew him.
Al was married to Doris “Dot” Perry on December 26, 1947, in Caryville, TN, and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage until her passing in 2007
Al worked as a quality inspector for American Motors/Chrysler for 36 years. He held various second jobs to support the family, including working 14 years for the Guttormsen family cleaning lanes at the bowling alley.
He could fix anything, and he enjoyed sitting in front of the garage, in his lawn chair, acting as the neighborhood watch with his dear friends, Gerald and Chet. He was always a gentleman, and everyone enjoyed being around Al.
Al was a member of the VFW Post #1865 and worked at the monthly breakfasts for many years. He was also a Freemason and Shriner.
Albert is survived by his beloved children, Tammy (Tim) Wojnicz, Terri (Jim) Hanrahan, and Lee (Jill) Patty; his grandchildren, Max, Holly, Ella, and Ava, and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Lia, and Miles. His legacy will continue through them as they honor his memory in their daily lives and stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris, and his seven siblings.
Interment will be held privately at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to VFW Post #1865, 6618 39th Ave., would be appreciated.
