Donald “Don” Norman Wilson, 87, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Hospice Alliance House.
He was born in Detroit, MI, on March 27, 1938. Son of Norman and Frances (Gorski). Served in the US Army and also in the 32nd Division of the WI National Guard. Don worked at Johns Manville and then at AMC, retiring in 2004. He then worked at Chrysler for a number of years.
Don married Shirley Mae Kraning on October 17, 1959, and spent 63 years together before Shirley passed on November 15, 2022. They were blessed with six children: Denise (Jeff) Cummings, Terri (Norman) Mieloszyk, Doni (Beth) Wilson, Pamela (Gary) Schattner, and Kristine Andrew. Son Scott Donald died at birth. Grandchildren, Dustin Cummings, Mathew (Megan) Mieloszyk, Amanda (Tony) Rogers, Benjamin (Nicole) Mieloszyk, Jeremy (Courtney) Wilson, Jacob (Samantha) Wilson, Courtney (Matt Rickling) Wilson, Jordyn Schuetz, Samantha (Tyler) Herther, Jordan (Aaron) Holmes, Cody (Nicole Mingin) Andrew, Amber Andrew, Nathalie (Andrew) Neimitz, Evan (Maggie Ward) Schattner, Cortnie Schattner. Great-grandchildren Arya Cummings, McKenzie (Yo Adrian) Mieloszyk, Turner and Parker Mieloszyk, Braxton, Evelyn, and Bennett Mieloszyk, Tessa Wilson, Aubrey Arteaga, Ruger Rickling, Noah, Sutton, and Liam Herther, Rhett and Tyson Holmes, Bennett and Tinley Neimitz. Sisters Dolly Tanyi and Gloria Maiga.
Preceded in death by his wife Shirley, November 15, 2022, his parents, and in-laws, Louis and Helen Kraning. His wife’s 13 sisters and brothers, his two sons-in-law, Jeff Cummings and Norm Mieloszyk.
Don had a passion for family and golf. He enjoyed his time at Shepards Crook and Bristol Oaks being a Ranger and picking up literally thousands of golf balls. Don also loved reading and doing crossword puzzles. He loved his monthly Sunday lunches with all his kids together.
Dad has longed to be back with Mom the love of his life, and he finally received his last wish on November 18th, and now his heart is whole again. Rest easy, we love you, Dad.

Funeral Services for Don will be held on Monday, November 24th at 2:00 pm with Full Military Honors following at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
