Doris Kitchens, 86, of Kenosha, passed away on November 6, 2025, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
Doris was born on May 13, 1939, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Usinger) Legler. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Doris married Charles Kitchens on July 26, 1981, at Friedens Lutheran Church in Kenosha. She worked in accounts payable at AMC/Chrysler for 28 years. Doris was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included bowling and going out with friends, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, DeLaura Dorfmeister, Robert (Jamie) Tolliver, Daniel Tolliver, and Steven (Sue) Tolliver; grandchildren, Tonya, Jeremy, Keith (Lutasha), Jackie, Matt, John, Sarah, Nicole, Katrina, and Netasha also included are 21 great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; brother, Edward Legler; sisters, Lillian Lichtwalt, Shirley Buckner; twin-sister, Joyce DeLane, and her daughter-in-law, Ellen Tolliver.
A memorial gathering will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM with memorial services to follow immediately at 6:00 PM.
