Maria Cook, 64, of Kenosha, passed away on October 31, 2025, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
Maria was born on November 22, 1960, in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of the late Santiago and Gail Dominga (Rangel) Granado. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Maria married Gerald Lee Cook on March 20, 1982, in Kenosha. She was a caregiver for Alpha Homes for 15 years. Her hobbies included shopping, cheering for the San Francisco 49ers but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family especially with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Lee Cook of Kenosha; daughter, Candice Cook of Kenosha; son, Steven Ray Cook of Kenosha; grandchildren, Jesse Figueroa-Cook, Yazmin Gallegos-Cook, Krystal Gallegos-Cook, Raymond Regalado, Enrique (Leanna) Cook; 2-greatgrandchildren, Kattaleya Figueroa Vaca and Enrique Jr. Cook; sisters, Jaunita (Joe) Garcia of Kenosha, Olivia Granado of Milwaukee and sister-in-law, Mary Granado as well as her cherished nieces and nephews. Maria was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Guadalupe Raymond Granado.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
