Walter “Bud” Meehan, 84, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Hospital.
He was born on September 23, 1941, to the late Walter and Margaret (Burlage) Meehan in Chicago. He was educated in the schools of Chicago and Wilmot, graduating from Wilmot High School.
Bud entered the US Army in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1963.
Bud worked as a welder and fabricator for FAMCO for over 40 years.
On September 17, 1993, he married Joan “Joni” Sinclair in Reno. She preceded him in death on February 2, 2022.
Bud was a lifelong bowler and golfer, still enjoying them until his passing. He was a Packers, White Sox, and NASCAR racing fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Bud is survived by his children, Charles (Betty) Meehan, Chris (David) Borre, and Marty (Lynda) Meehan, his stepchildren Julie (Al) Walters, Scot (Pam) Sinclair, Kurt (Kathy) Sinclair, and Keri (Gerald) Logan, and his many grand and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by as sons Derek and Brian Meehan and his sister Sandy (Bob) Jaringo.
A Celebration of Life Service for Bud will be held on Friday, November 7th at 6:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
