Kathy S. Smith, 69, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Hospice Alliance Hospice House.
She was born on February 15, 1956, to the late Earl and Cleo (Rivers) Whitrock in Chicago.
Kathy worked as a waste collector for the City of Kenosha for 26 years, retiring in 2015.
On March 27, 2004, she married Thomas “Tom” J. Smith in Kenosha.
Kathy enjoyed working out, playing cribbage with friends, and was a Packers fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her husband Tom, her children Charlie, Chastity, and Christopher (Shawn), her five grandchildren, her seven great-grandchildren, and her siblings Bev Rieschl, Jean Sandberg, Joyce Rieschl, Luann Rieschl, Julie (Terry) Johnson, and David Whitrock.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmom Joyce, three sisters, and three brothers.
A Celebration of Life Visitation for Kathy will be held on Saturday, November 1st, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home.
