August 27, 1960 – September 9, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dale Allen Munns at the age of 65. A devoted husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, and son, he left an enduring mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
Dale was born on August 27, 1960 in Kenosha, WI. At the young age of 16, he embraced the role of a loving father to his three children, Rick, Erica, and Michael. He then married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth Munns. Dale worked tirelessly to provide for his family, instilling in them the values of hard work, determination, and love. One of Dale’s greatest passions was racing cars. He loved the thrill of the racetrack, the roar of the engines, and the friendships shared among fellow racers. These moments brought him happiness, as he spent weekends racing stock cars at Wilmot Speedway. His love for cars extended beyond racing. As a skilled mechanic, Dale was happiest when he was in the garage, often working on projects late into the night. He loved sharing his knowledge with anyone who needed help, whether it was a neighbor with a car problem or a friend wanting to learn the basics of auto maintenance. His generous spirit and willingness to lend a hand made him a beloved figure in our community. Even when life presented challenges, including the struggles he faced over the past 15 years with his health, his spirit remained unbroken.
Family meant everything to Dale. He was a proud grandpa to Mikayla, Antonio, Natalie, Dylan, Kylie, Landen, Danica, and Kassidy, and a great-grandpa to Phoebe. His face would light up at the sight of his grandchildren, as he shared stories, laughter, and life lessons with them, especially those involving cars, passing down his knowledge and passion for mechanics. They will carry his legacy of love and determination with them always. He is survived by his beloved wife and caregiver, Elizabeth Munns, his children, Rick Munns (wife Sherry Munns), Erica Holmquist (husband Lance Holmquist) and Michael Munns (Theresa Munns), his grandchildren, Mikayla Munns, Antonio Gonzales, Natalie Munns, Dylan Munns, Kylie Munns, Landen Holmquist, Danica Holmquist and Kassidy Munns, his mother, Judy Schuppner, and his siblings, Rick Munns, Danny Munns (wife Mary Munns), Theresa Munns and Cindy Nichols. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Duane Schuppner.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to inspire us all. Information for Dale’s celebration of life will be scheduled ata future date, where friends and family will be invited to come together to share memories and honor the remarkable man he was. Though he may no longer be with us, Dale will forever remain in our hearts, remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to family, his passion for cars, and his generous spirit. Rest in peace, dear Dale. You will be sorely missed more than words can express.
