December 3, 1944 – September 4, 2025
James Keckeisen, 80, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 3, 1944, in Chicago, IL, James was the son of the late Nicholas and Helen (Nolan) Keckeisen. He was educated in the schools of Chicago and Kenosha, graduating from St. Joseph Catholic Academy. On May 20, 1967, he married Donna Agazzi in Kenosha, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.
James proudly served in the United States Army. Throughout his career, he worked in various roles across respected companies. He began his professional journey as a manager and foreman at Eaton Dynamatic, and later worked for AC Delco/Delfi Corp. and Abbott Laboratories.
James had a zest for life and deeply appreciated time spent with family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, bingo, and golf. A dedicated fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Bulls, he was happiest, however, when surrounded by his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
James is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Donna Keckeisen; his children, Mark (Kristine) Keckeisen of Pleasant Prairie, Dave (Heather) Keckeisen of Kenosha, and Brian Keckeisen of Kenosha; his sister, Mary Mystrom of Alaska; and his treasured grandchildren: Jared (Jordan) Keckeisen, Connor Keckeisen, Riley (Sydney Dabbs) Keckeisen, Sydney Keckeisen, Samantha Keckeisen, and Kathryn Keckeisen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Margaret.
James will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial gathering will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on September 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM with memorial services to follow immediately at 6:00 PM.
