Sheri L. McCallister, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on May 3, 1960, in Kenosha, Sheri was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Louise Block. She was a proud graduate of Trinity College. She later fulfilled her passion for helping others by earning a Doctorate in Psychology from Ashland Seminary School.
Sheri met the love of her life, Delbert McCallister, back in high school. The two married on October 2, 1981, and would have celebrated 44 wonderful years together this fall. Their marriage was full of laughter, devotion, and unwavering support for each other.
For over 30 years, Sheri dedicated her life to being a therapist. Her compassion, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched countless lives, both in and out of the therapy room. When she wasn’t working, she found joy in the quiet moments; reading, tending to her garden, or spending time in heartfelt devotions, deepening her faith. Her mornings often began with prayer, and that spiritual grounding was a guiding light in how she loved and served others.
More than anything, Sheri’s heart belonged to her family. She treasured every moment with them. Especially, time with her grandchildren, who were the absolute light of her life. She had a way of making everyone feel deeply seen, known, and loved. Her presence brought warmth and comfort wherever she was.
She is survived by her loving husband, Del; her children, Kacie Bilik and Dustin McCallister; and her cherished grandchildren, Wesley Bilik and Madison McCallister. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Tracey (Mark), Pam (Mike), Chip (Cindy), and Bruce, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.
