Sula E. Maxcy, age 91, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Willowbrook Assisted Living, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 9, 1933, to William Ervin and Georgia Wilson. She was a graduate of Itawamba High School. She continued her education and graduated from Gateway Technical Institute in the early 70’s and went on to work for American Hospital Supply/Baxter Healthcare as a purchasing agent.
On April 13, 1952, in Fulton, MS, she was united in marriage to Harold L. Maxcy. For over 58 years they built a beautiful marriage and raised a family of five children.
She is survived by her children, Debra (Charles) Vite and Paul (Dawn) Maxcy; seven grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) Maxcy, Brian (Melissa) Maxcy, Michelle (Lynn) Mizer, BJ Maxcy, Ariel (Patrick) Jahn, Sadie May and Paige (Jack) Thurnblad; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Zenon and Josh Maxcy; great grandchildren, Aiden and Autumn Jahn, Mia May, Makenna May, Jack Thurnblad, Iris Thurnblad, Cade Maxcy, Tatem Maxcy, Devin Maxcy, Alexis Griffin, Savannah Griffin, Angelina Maxcy and Grayson Mizer; great greatgrandchildren, Abigail Madsen, Olivia Madsen, Emelia Madsen; siblings, Zola Basham and Syblie Bentley; her dogs, Coco and Willie.
In addition to her parents, William Ervin and Georgia Wilson, Sula was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Maxcy and her sons, Steven Maxcy and H. Michael Maxcy and Charles R. Maxcy; her siblings, Mauvileen Brandt, Eunice Reed, Thomas Ray Wilson, Faye Solomon, Mary Hall, Elmo Wilson and Joyce Wilson.
