After battling diabetes for years, Linnea Apostoli, 58, of Kenosha passed from this earth on June 14, 2025, and joined Jesus and other loved ones in heaven.
Linnea was born on July 2, 1966, in Kenosha. She was the daughter of Anthony and Sharon (Baas) Apostoli. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School. Linnea married Gary Huron on September 6, 1986, in Kenosha, who later passed on January 31, 2010. She excelled as a realtor for many years, navigating the challenges of the job with determination, grace, and a sense of humor. Her hobbies included cooking, puzzles, and painting. She was a remarkable artist with a unique style! She enjoyed snuggling with and tending to every need of her rescue pets, Karyn, Ernie & Kitty. She loved visiting with her mom and chatting about books, ailments that come along with getting older, and family drama. She was incredibly fond of binging the latest Netflix shows and doing jig saw puzzles with her significant other, Rick. She took pleasure in “sister time” where they had a group chat going for years discussing their highs and lows, sharing a whole lot of pet photos, and laughing at whoever had the funny story of the day to tell! Most of all she loved spending time with her two grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Survivors include her companion, Rick Sturm of Kenosha; daughter, Andrea (Matt) Harebo of Kenosha; mother, Sharon Apostoli of Kenosha; sisters, Dawn (Frank) Lichter of Union Grove, Jodie (Gerald) Brown of Salem; nieces, Bella Lichter and Chloe Brown; nephews, Connor Brown, Mason Lichter, and Sawyer Lichter; also included are her grandchildren, Savannah and Ma’Kye. Linnea was preceded in death by her father, her husband, and her brother, Robert.
Linnea will be remembered for her sense of humor, sarcasm, and quick wit. She was definitely her father’s daughter. She will also be remembered for the unwavering courage she had while fighting her illness. She never lost her spirit, hope, and she inspired everyone around her with her resilience. She was a wonderful and loyal human being. Linnea had an incredible ability to navigate through life’s challenges, no matter what obstacles came her way. She could get feisty, but she always came out smiling! She was an incredible friend with relationships standing the test of time! She was an amazing mother who adored her child and sacrificed everything for her. She was such a cherished and wise sibling who always had advice. She was a beloved daughter who always took charge of her mother’s well-being as she got older. And finally, she was a devoted partner to the love of her life. This world will be much dimmer place without her light.
The family invites you to share your memories of Linnea at a visitation on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 3:00PM-5:00PM with memorial services to follow immediately at 5:00PM.
