Robert A. Schmidt, 69, of Kenosha WI passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was born on October 29, 1955, to the late Robert E. and Mary (Willems) Schmidt.
He married Sherry Brown on May 19, 1979. He attended local Kenosha schools and worked for AMC Chrysler as a CNC Machinist for 35 years before retiring in 2009. In his younger years, he enjoyed deer hunting in the Northwoods. He loved watching the Packers and the Brewers. If Robert wasn’t watching sports, you could find him on his motorcycle or playing on a softball team or in a dartball league.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry; children, Stephanie (Jonathan Martinez) Schmidt and Stacee (Brandon) Smith; grandchildren, Kaylee, Saydee, Silas, and Noah; a great-grandson, Leo; and siblings, Vicki (Gary) Schumacher, Kurt Schmidt, and Mark (Dawn) Schmidt. We can’t forget about his dog, Molly.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Paula Feichtner and sister-in-law, Alice Schmidt.
A memorial visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
