It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald George Carpentier, a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, who left this world peacefully at the age of 90 on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Born in Aurora, Illinois, on July 5,1934, to the late George and Marie (Schabb) Carpentier. He attended local schools in North Aurora and earned his bachelor’s degree from Aurora University.
On August 8, 1959, at Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Aurora, IL, he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Hettinger. They were blessed with almost 60 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2019.
Ron was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He attended Mass daily and also led the Rosary. He cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed daily walks with his best friend, Tom. He also gave back to the community as a volunteer driver for many years after moving to Kenosha, showcasing his caring nature.
He proudly served in the Army from 1955 to 1957, where he achieved the rank of Specialist Third Class (SP3). His commitment to service carried into his civilian life. He was employed for three years at the Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad. He worked in the Dairy Industry for approximately 37 years in the Operational, Management and Technical Service areas. Known for his strong work ethic, Ron often balanced long hours with his love for family and friends. After retirement, he worked for the Daily Herald as a Courier.
Ron will be dearly missed by his children, Michelle (Bradley) Shannon, Mark Carpentier and Timothy (Lora) Carpentier; his grandchildren, great grandchildren, his siblings, Robert “Gene” (Pat) Carpentier, Maryann Petit, James Carpentier and Joann (Scott) Mitchell, as well as his many nieces, nephews and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness that will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Oldest of five children, he was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Greg Petit and sister-in-law, Pam Carpentier.
A Celebration of Life honoring Ron will be held at a later date.
