It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen A. Hubbard, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who left us on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Kenosha, WI on January 20, 1945, to Raymond and Evelyn (Neu) Jensen. Karen was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in 1963.
On November 19, 1966, she was united in marriage to Elton R. Hubbard at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Kenosha.
Karen was employed at Snap-on, Inc., Gateway Technical College and many years as an administrative assistant at the Moose Lodge #286, where she was also a dedicated former member of the Women of the Moose, celebrating life’s moments with humor and camaraderie.
Karen was known as the life of the party. She loved going out and socializing with her friends. She was always cracking jokes and had a non-stop infectious sense of humor. Karen loved to laugh. She enjoyed playing cribbage, cards, cooking and was a member of the senior bowling league. She was always very stylish and fashionable. Karen also taught and played piano in her earlier years. She loved country music, especially Kenny Rogers and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Karen had a passion for beautifying her home, especially with many roses and outdoor flowers in the summer, brightening her home and those around her. She was a lifelong Cubs and Packers fan, never missing an opportunity to watch a game.
Karen was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church until its time of closing and then became a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
She leaves behind her daughter, Wendi Hubbard; her son, Ronald Hubbard, and her loving grandsons, Alec and Austin Hubbard, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and her faithful companions, Fozzy and Bambi.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elton Hubbard and her brother, Robert Jensen
Rest easy, Karen. Your love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those you leave behind.

A visitation for Karen will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2224 30th Ave. Entombment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
