Maria DeLaGarza, 67, of Kenosha passed away on April 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Maria was born on June 9, 1957, in Laredo, TX, the daughter of the late Jesus and Diamantina (Guzman) Garcia. She was educated in the schools of TX. Maria was a resident of Kenosha, WI since 1986. She worked for Albany Chicago Water Pumps in quality control for many years. Maria was a member of Journey Church. She enjoyed reading her bible, had a passion for teaching children and cheering for the Green Bay Packers but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Maria was an extremely devoted mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her children, Sylvia (Roberto) Benitez of Pleasant Prairie, Severo I. Gonzalez III of Pleasant Prairie, Sabrina Salzar of Kenosha; Sergio I. Gonzales of CO and her many brothers & sisters; her 5 grandchildren; Aurora M. Salazar (Jesus E. Gonzalez), Noah E. Salazar, Michael I. Gonzales, Jocelyn R. Gonzales, Lilly-Anne H. Gonzales and 1 great-grandchild: Lorenzo Z. Trujillo. Maria was preceded in death by her husband; Severo I. Gonzales II, her parents; and her brothers, Jorge Garcia, Antonio Garcia and Robert Garcia.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
